Today at church a sweet elderly woman passed me a note.
In her elegant writing she simply expressed that she was happy that we moved to Detroit and wanted to welcome us. She said that she couldn't wait to get t o know us.
Such a simple gesture that will make a lasting impact. What a kind and thoughtful thing to do.
I want to be like her when I grow up.
