A little culture

Courtney and Dave joined us Saturday night for an unbelievable musical experience. The Charlotte Symphony accompanied Jennifer Holliday, the original Effie from The Dreamgirls Broadway Show. She took singing to a whole new level. I sat in shock and awe the entire time.
The orchestra was phenomenal. Jennifer was beyond explanation.
I have been singing at the top of my lungs and imitating her since Saturday. Isn't Allen lucky?

Afterward we had passes to the special VIP reception. The Ritz Carlton had all kinds of goodies to feast on. My favorite were the fresh and pipping hot beignets filled with a vanilla custard. Life changing. We were not allowed to take pictures inside otherwise you would have gotten a glimpse at the heavenly morsel.

Then Sunday we participated in a late Birthday Party for our favorite little David Dabney. He was so excited for Matthew, or Godfather as David calls him, to bring out his Cars Ice Cream Cake. He love the Cars napkins, Cars plates, Cars Birthday Banner, Cars stickers, and the list goes on. 3 year old boy dream come true!
How cute is that face?
