Ya mon, It's all Irie

Jamaica was awesome.
I love the Jamaican pride that the people have. There was such a sense of independence. They were so eager to share their culture with us and we were eager to partake.

Ocho Rios
Beautiful no?

We took a tour of some lovely gardens. The gardens were gorgeous.
Gardens and I normally don't get along. One word. Bugs. No thanks. I don't like creepy crawly. I pretended that I didn't see the GIANT spiders along the way. The guide told me they were harmless. I was wearing my skeptical glasses though. So I was very careful.

Our guide literally forced us to take a picture sitting in the "love seat", aka giant tree with a built in bench.

We also climbed Dunns River Falls. Notice the line of people down there. They are ALL holding hands. Family or random stranger, didn't matter. You held hands. The guides thought that maybe this would make it easier to climb up the waterfall? Allen and I were not about to subject ourselves to such frustration of playing follow the really slow moving leader. We made our own path. Much more enjoyable.

I have a picture of us at the falls, but we are in our swimsuits and neither of us had seen the sun in a really really long time. So I will spare you. You are welcome.

And how could we come to Jamaica without having some Jerk? Delish. We purchased some jerk sauce to bring home. I can't wait to use it!

Tacos for dinner.
Happy Cinco De Mayo!
