Growing up in Arizona, tornadoes were only in movies, particularly The Wizard of Oz. Now that I live in the south, I have witnessed a tornado first hand. Seriously scary storms. Charlotte, NC was not hit nearly as bad as Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Georgia. The storm took out everything in it path, leaving buildings demolished and hospitals tight for space.
This could be one of the most devastating tornado outbreaks in the nation's history by the time it's over," CNN Meteorologist Sean Morris said.
My heart goes out to those who lost loved ones and homes.
We've seen our share of tornadoes in Ohio, including one that destroyed our friends' CD store, but nothing nearly as widespread as this.
