My lovely parents got Allen and I a wheat grinder last year. Believe it or not, I really wanted one. Allen and I are big on whole wheat. I love that I can grind my own now!
The grinder itself is unbelievably loud. It sounds like an airplane is landing in our living room. I am sure my neighbors hate me whenever I turn it on. They can deal with it or come and get some bread as payment.
Next step is making the bread. I only have 3 bread pans, so the rest goes into rolls.
So in the past I have always had trouble making bread. I never get the perfect loaf. They always turn out disfigured. They usually taste ok. So this time I followed a step by step guide... with pictures.
Here are rolls... after they have been cooked.
Deflated.
My loafs didn't look any better.
They taste great this time! Just don't look right.
You know what they say,
Practice makes perfect.
Or as Pattabhi Jois says,
"Practice and all is coming..."
So we will try agin.
