Cause I'm your Lady

Friday night Allen and I went back to the 8th grade. I guess Allen goes back everyday, but Friday night was special.

The 8th grade social was certainly the social event of the season!

Girls left school early to get their hair done.. or did. They wore new dresses and even newer high heels. It was obvious that some had never worn heels before. I am sure there were some screaming feet by the end of the night. I forget that walking in heels takes certain finesse that is acquired through practice. Until you achieve that smooth strutting ability, you kind of look like a giraffe that is top heavy. Still, they looked so cute trying to look so grown up.

In true middle school fashion, Girls huddled together in one corner.

While the Boys chilled together in another corner.

They were looking "fresh" in their best ensemble.

Allen and I thought it best not to embarrase the 8th graders by dancing. Some girls tried to teach me how to jerk last year... didn't work out so well. Turns out I've got no moves. I am not that worried about it....
