Allen and I are looking at some job opportunities outside of Charlotte. We have been researching different cities and deciding what cities we might like to live in. And while I think Philadelphia would be great, I really just want to move to Paris. I keep telling Allen we should move to France. He isn't really buying it. So in the mean time, I have been dreaming and reminiscing of my days in the city of love.
Lovely indeed.
So take a walk with me down memory lane.
Invalides - Chartres
Tuileries - Metro Stop
Catacombs - Gates of Hell
Outside Notre Dame - Chateau de Cambord
Monet's Garden - Normandy
My cheeks are a little chubbier at this point in my Parisian adventure. I put on a solid 10lbs in Paris. I actually had a button pop off my jeans due to the extra strain on my waistband. I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. I think I did.
In the end it was worth every mouthful and would do it all over again.
My Dad told me to try everything while I was there. I came pretty close.
Oh, there is nothing like a fresh baguette. I could polish off the whole loaf by myself without blinking. Or a hot croissant, french onion soup, cheese, pastries, crepes.... I may start to cry just thinking of it all.
I also did a lot of research and hit most of the chocolate shops before we came home. I had an entire suitcase full of chocolate to bring to the ones that I loved back home. And if I didn't love you, you didn't get chocolate. I am very protective of my chocolate.
Jazz Club - Metro Tunnel
I loved every second in that beautiful city.
Thank you for letting me dream a little.
Champs-Elysees
Let's start saving our pennies and go in a few years! Who is with me?
Oh how I love Paris... And Allen has family in Germany, so it could be fun!
